This is a full-time Commercial Real Estate Advisor role. Responsibilities include prospecting, business development, and transaction management services for users of office, retail, and industrial real estate. An entrepreneurial approach to business is essential.

The role is supported with senior level mentorship and a full array of client services specifically geared towards the occupier including strategy, transaction management, portfolio management, lease management, logistics, capital markets, and construction management.

Our ideal candidate has a proven track record in the commercial real estate industry with existing client relationships that you wish to grow at Cresa. This is not an entry level role, however, those that are new to the industry with a minimum of two years' relevant experience will also be considered. The candidate will interact directly with the Cresa Detroit leadership team and can engage with other advisors and colleagues across our global platform.

This person should possess a strong desire to succeed, have excellent communication skills, be self-starting and entrepreneurial-minded, crave collaboration, and enjoy being part of an energetic team.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly grasp and understand Cresa's niche market advantages and convey this differentiation in a compelling manner
  • Demonstrate Cresa's proprietary technology to secure and advise clientele
  • Learn to discern property attributes their value and how they can provide positive or negative impacts on the client's business operation
  • Understand and stay current with market trends, tenant/buyer movement and deal points
  • Prospect for new client relationships
  • Canvass southeast Michigan market for users of office, retail, and industrial real estate who would benefit from Cresa's services.
  • Perform various financial analyses
  • Source comps and maintain comp database
  • Attend industry events
  • Compose market surveys
  • Compose and negotiate RFPs, LOIs, and purchase / sale agreements

Qualifications

  • Michigan real estate license
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid driver's license
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in successful business development with proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Excellent computer skills and comfortable with internet-based research
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Project a confident and professional appearance and attitude
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a commission-based environment
  • Desire to make occupier-focused real estate a career choice
