Empath Health is seeking an APRN for the Sexual Health Center.
What you'll Do The APRN is responsible for evaluating and coordinating patient needs in the EPIC Health Center to enable preventative and supportive care of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and HIV. The APRN will provide clinical services, symptom management, and consultation education, in addition to providing evaluation of disease process. The APRN utilizes assessment, intervention, and teaching skills to maximize patient care. The APRN will provide direct clinical services to people seeking sexual health care and services to sex partners; monitors disease trends, provides education and training as requested.

What You'll Need :
- Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Licensure: Current Florida license as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
- Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- NPI provider and ability to bill CMS services or ability to obtain same
- Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience required.
- Minimum of two (2) year experience as an APRN with experience in adult, holistic, gerontology, or oncology practice preferred.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs comprehensive health assessments by obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations including internal exams of female and male genitalia.
- Perform pelvic examinations and general physical examinations
- Diagnoses, treats, and monitors acute and chronic diseases in collaboration with the medical director.
- Be primarily assigned to provide direct patient care for those infected with HIV or at high risk to be infected with HIV or STI’s.
- Take medical history and perform physical examinations, provide diagnosis and initiate HIV therapy, PrEP or PEP as part of a strategy to treat individuals immediately at the time of service
- Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies in collaboration with the medical director.
