Responsibilities:

Located at Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital — a nationally recognized leader in cardiovascular, bariatric, and general surgery — our Surgery Department provides surgical care in a collaborative and well-coordinated environment. This specialized unit features five licensed operating rooms (including one hybrid OR/Cath Lab), supporting over 3,000 surgical cases annually, including moderate to high acuity patients in heart, neurospine, and bariatric specialties. As a leader in this department, you’ll support a team that plays a critical role in delivering complex care with precision and compassion.

Apply the leadership and administrative skills you developed at the bedside to support a surgical team committed to clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
Coordinate patient care, foster staff development, drive performance improvements and ensure seamless surgical workflows across a range of advanced procedures.
Foster a positive working environment in your unit as part of an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued, and you actively help team members navigate their career growth and development.

As a member of the unit leadership team, the Assistant Nurse Manager is an exempt level role scheduled 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications:
RN – Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
BLS – Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
Certifications as required for the unit
