Overview

We are seeking a Bazel Build Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable build systems using Bazel. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in optimizing build performance, supporting large monorepo-based codebases, and integrating build processes into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires strong collaboration with development teams and a deep understanding of build tooling and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain build systems using Bazel.
• Optimize build performance and reliability across large codebases.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate Bazel into workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve build-related issues.
• Automate build and deployment processes.
• Ensure build systems are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.
• Monitor and improve build system performance and observability.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience with Bazel in production environments.
• Strong understanding of build and release processes.
• Proficiency in Rust or C/C++.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms and tools (e.g., GitLab, GitLab Runners).
• Experience developing tools for large monorepo-based codebases.
• Familiarity with Remote Execution Platforms.
• Experience with bash scripting and writing Makefiles.
• Knowledge of linkers and their configurations, especially in Bazel-based builds.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
