Job Description
The BSA and Compliance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of the Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance programs. The role also oversees the broader compliance program to ensure the bank adheres to all applicable current and proposed government laws and regulations, internal policies, and best practices. The position is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance across all areas of the bank as well as conducting compliance reviews and internal monitoring to detect and mitigate risk. This person will take the lead role in audits and examinations where compliance is the focal point.
The BSA and Compliance Officer will develop and deliver compliance and BSA/AML training for employees and the Board of Directors, as well as keep the staff up to date on regulatory changes and compliance expectations.
