Data Analyst(Not a super technical role)

Prior Capital one Highly preferred or High financial experience is required

Must Have:

• Python
• SQL
• Databricks -Nice to have
• Strong communication skills (working with legacy Capital One business, data engineers & the Discover team)
• Metadata experience

Other Notes:

• what data is required to accomplish tasks
• requirement mapping & documentation to support the development work
• data quality and data governance checks
• creating test cases for the engineering teams
• core analyst responsibilities (building dashboards and reporting)

Top Skills:

• Communication & Data Governance #1 not a super technical role
  • They have engineers to do that their gathering the requirements and putting them into technical specs, but most of the work is up front Discovery/analysis to work with a non-technical customer to trace back what they need
• Very organized forward thinking and self-project management (with DFS coming in there's 500+ files coming with them)

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead meetings with internal customers to determine data needs
• Requirements mapping and documentation to support engineering partners
• Metadata registration and data governance activities
• Configuring data quality rules and testing
• Coordinate ETL pipelines testing across multiple areas and validate results
