Shop Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Shop Laborers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a shop setting. Employees in this role will be tasked with general labor duties, cleaning work areas, utilizing hand and power tools, sanding/grinding materials, and operating machinery once fully trained. Candidates with experience in these areas are a great fit for this position.
Responsibilities
Perform general labor duties and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
Utilize hand and power tools efficiently.
Sand and grind materials as required.
Operate machinery once training is complete.
Essential Skills
1+ years of experience as a laborer or production worker in a shop setting.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Experience in deburring and machine operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ year of experience sanding/grinding steel components.
Ability to operate various shop machinery.
Capability to read a shop blueprint.

Work Environment
The position is based in a large shop/manufacturing environment. The facility is non-climate controlled, with dock doors open and fans to control temperature during warmer seasons. The job is on the 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available starting at 6 AM. Compensation is decided based on the candidate's needs and years of experience in the field.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Galion, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr.
