Laser Technician, 2nd Shift, starting at 5:PM. Hourly pay rate range, $22.00 to $25.00 Overview: The Laser Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining sheet metal and plate cutting lasers to produce precision parts and components. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate computer-driven laser cutting equipment to produce sheet metal parts according to specifications. Select and run appropriate laser programs based on part requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Perform electronic and physical inspections to ensure product quality. Monitor material usage, minimize scrap, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment. Load and unload materials using overhead cranes or forklifts. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating computer-driven equipment in a sheet metal fabrication environment. Knowledge of sheet metal materials, gauges, and measurement systems (decimal, fractional, metric). Proficiency with precision measuring instruments. Laser programming experience is a plus. Strong ability to follow directions and work independently with limited supervision. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to complete assigned workloads.
