We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to support a dynamic group of attorneys while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative legal environment. The role includes cross-training for potential growth into an entry-level Paralegal position.

Responsibilities:
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Operate a multi-line phone system to handle incoming calls and direct inquiries professionally.
• Track time and maintain accurate records for billing and case management purposes.
• Provide administrative support to attorneys, including document preparation and filing.
• Assist with client communications and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
• Coordinate office activities to maintain an organized and efficient workflow.
• Support the transition and onboarding of new attorneys joining the team.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the firm’s goals.• Previous experience in a legal assistant or administrative role within a legal environment.
• Proficiency in calendar management and scheduling tools.
• Ability to operate and manage multi-line phone systems effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Familiarity with time tracking and billing systems.
• Willingness to work 100% on-site and contribute to a well-organized office environment.
