Overview We have immediate openings for Lineman skilled in construction, maintenance and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. This position works at various locations and may also be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands. Responsibilities Work safely in new construction, maintenance or repair of energized and de-energized overhead systems. Install overhead components: wires, poles and anchors, transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear. Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems, replace cutout fuses and clear faulted circuits and systems. Safely install and remove mechanical jumpers and understand how to obtain a one-shot on a re-closer. Climb different types of structures (wood, steel, etc.) and carry the necessary tools to do so. Qualifications CDL required Clean background Willing to travel TWIC and basic plus is a plus Experience in overhead and underground line work Termination and splicing experience required Must have 2 year minimum of recent field experience or coursework in Powerline trade Safety-minded and follow safety regulations Valid Driver’s License, Commercial Driver’s License is required Willing to submit to pre-employment, random and for-cause drug testing About Expanse Electrical Company Expanse Electrical is a leader in professional services, specializing in oilfield electrical construction & maintenance; industrial electrical supplies (serving the oil & gas industries); natural gas pipeline automation; utility distribution & transmission lines; and power substations.
