We are currently seeking a skilled Locum Anesthesiologist Assistant . As a Locum Anesthesiologist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting anesthesiologists in providing quality care to patients. This position is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of medical procedures and maintaining patient safety. You will be involved in a variety of anesthesia-related projects, working closely with the medical team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

• Assist anesthesiologists in preparing patients for anesthesia administration.
• Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and report any abnormalities.
• Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for anesthesia delivery.
• Assist in the insertion of intravenous lines and airway management.
• Document patient information and anesthesia care accurately.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patients in the recovery room.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Adhere to all relevant regulations and protocols in the anesthesia department.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Anesthesiologist Assistant program.
• Valid certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant.
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia procedures and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and assignments.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3p

No call

Patient Population: Pediatrics to geriatrics

General anesthesia, including healthy peds

Cases: Mostly ENT, some eye cases and orthopedics; no hearts or OB

Medically Directed: 1:3 or 1:4

EMR: Cerner
