A Board-certified or Board-eligible Nephrologist providing expert nephrology consultations to hospitals in a flexible, part-time month-on/month-off schedule. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nephrologist with an active MA license for a part-time, month-on/month-off consultant position. This is a great opportunity to provide expert advice to hospitals without the pressure of urgent or emergent cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultation for nephrology cases via phone or virtual communication.
- Connect with hospitalists to provide advice on nephrology-related cases.
- Handle approximately 2 consults per month (18 consults per year).
- Respond to consult requests on the same day.
- Work within a supportive and collaborative environment, offering advice and guidance on complex nephrology cases.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
- This role operates on a month-on/month-off basis, ensuring a flexible work schedule.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or Board-eligible Nephrologist.
- Must have an active MA license
- Ability to provide curbside consultations and offer practical advice for acute nephrology cases.
- Must have strong communication skills to liaise effectively with hospitalists.
