Join to apply for the Overhead Crane Operator role at Woodsage Job location: Holland, OH Role and Responsibilities Understand the safety requirements of the overhead crane and operate without compromising those safety systems. Operate the overhead crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads, ensuring each load is safely attached before lowering. Observe load hook‑ups and assess safety of the load. Manipulate or depress crane controls (pedals, levers, buttons) to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions. Inspect the crane for defective parts, complete the daily operator checklist, and notify management of any defects or malfunctions. Adhere to all safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements At least one year of overhead crane experience. Positive attitude and ownership of the work area. Strong work ethic. Quick to learn and able to adapt in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑directed individual. High school diploma required. Preferred Skills Manufacturing industry experience. Forklift experience. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Strong mechanical abilities. Physical Requirements Walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping frequently. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds frequently. Exposure to temperature variations frequently. Additional Notes Overtime may be required with little notice before or after normal work hours or on weekends.
