Patient Services Transporter 1

Nuvance Health Part?Time 32 hours 7:00?am??11:30?pm, every other weekend rotation.

Job Summary: Brings patients to and from their designated testing centers, delivers equipment to the nursing floors, and removes/delivers blood products or sterile supplies.

Responsibilities

• Transports designated in?patients and out?patients.
• Assists in maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
• Participates in setting and attaining department goals.
• Maintains confidentiality of all aspects of patients and their families at all times.
• Utilizes communication skills effectively with patients, families, visitors, medical staff and hospital personnel.
• Keeps current regarding job?related duties through required in?service education and staff meetings.
• Formulates and uses effective working relationships with all health?care staff, patients & significant others.
• Assertively seeks guidance and direction as needed.
• Provides coverage for Code 99s.
• Serves as dispatcher as needed.
• Applies basic tractor set?ups and retrieves equipment for other traction sets.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (equivalent).
• Minimum of six months related experience.
• Bilingual skills desired.
• Must understand and speak conversational English and possess listening and comprehension skills.
• Must be able to work with young, elderly, sick and physically challenged people.

Working Conditions

• Manual: Some manual skills, motor coordination and finger dexterity required.
• Occupational risk: Some occupational risk present.
• Physical effort: Very heavy effort; may exert up to 50?lbs. force.
• Physical environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.

Salary Range: $17.00 $24.91 Hourly.
