ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking a detail-oriented entry-level Product Coordinator to join our Product Management team. The ideal candidate will have a background in biological sciences to effectively support product lifecycle activities and assist with various administrative functions of product management. The Product Coordinator supports the activities required to bring the product to market and helps mitigate issues related to the operation, distribution, and supply of products within their assigned portfolio. This position is hybrid(3days/wk onsite, 2 days remote) based in Gaithersburg, MD. The Product Coordinator provides professional level support and assistance within the area of specialization, performing tasks under the guidance of senior professionals. Contributes to projects, learns from experienced colleagues, and develops their skills and knowledge. Responsibilities Product Lifecycle Management Support: Perform operational tasks within the product lifecycle, including management of inventory levels, back orders, availability, and dashboard management. Support the development of document specifications that outline revisions or additional features of existing products, and the conception of new products. Responsible for internal processes and applications for new product item creation, specification documents for OEM procurement, web listing entries, technical data sheets and product manuals. Be part of cross-functional team of Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, Operations, Quality and R&D supporting catalog portfolio lifecycle management. Market and Competitor Analysis: Support market research tasks to identify trends and/or needs of targeted clients/customers. Analyze and compare competitor's product lines in relation to the organization's current offerings. Marketing and Product Launch Support: Help develop product detail pages and ensure documentation for new and existing products are available across all systems. Support product marketing activities and initiatives in commercial product launches. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, and 0-2 years’ experience or equivalent experience. Background in Biological science is required. Experience providing administrative support. Attention to detail with strong analytical skills to perform market research and competitor analysis. Excellent organizational skills for managing inventory levels, back orders, and product documentation. Effective communication skills to provide marketing insights and direction for product launches. Ability to develop and maintain product detail pages and ensure accurate documentation across systems. Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
