The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for overseeing and enforcing the quality standards for federal construction projects, with a focus on electrical work . The QCM ensures compliance with the Three-Phase Control System as required by USACE, NAVFAC, and other federal agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the Three-Phase Quality Control System .
- Develop and maintain the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) .
- Review project drawings, specs, and submittals for compliance.
- Conduct Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up quality control meetings and inspections.
- Coordinate third-party inspections, testing, and reporting.
- Maintain daily QC reports and documentation per contract requirements.
- Interface with government QC representatives and address non-compliance issues.
- Ensure all electrical installations meet NEC, NFPA, and project-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of construction quality control experience, with 2+ years on federal projects.
- Prior QCM experience on USACE/NAVFAC/VA projects.
- USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification (required).
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and quality requirements.
- Experience writing and implementing QC plans and procedures.
- OSHA 30 certification and ability to work on active job sites.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
