OSW Equipment & Repair, LLC, a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, is the largest truck body and trailer manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest. OSW's main facility is located in the Maltby area in Snohomish County. OSW and has been in business for over 20 years and has branches in Edmonton, Canada and Tempe, Arizona.
The Quality Control Technician will look for outliers that don't meet existing specifications and are responsible for making sure the final product meets company standards before being sent to the next department or delivered to the customer.

Duties/Responsibilities: \n - Perform inspections on equipment throughout the production process.
\n - Ensure all manufacturing paperwork is properly filled out and correct if needed
\n - Complete all quality control paperwork and sign off
\n - Photograph units for documentation
\n - Test drive/brake check all equipment
\n - Move equipment in and out of the shop and organize yard of finished product and new arrivals.
\n - Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality
\n - Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
\n - Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
\n - Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
\n - Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
\n - Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and radiographs
\n - Using gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products
\n - Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
\n - Determining the causes of product defects and reworks
\n - Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly
\n

Required Skills/Abilities: \n - Good written and verbal communication skills
\n - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
\n - Keen attention to detail
\n - Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications
\n - Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers and computers
\n - In-depth understanding of company standards
\n - Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices
\n - Understanding of target market and consumer needs
\n - Blueprint reading capabilities
\n - Documentation and reporting skills
\n - Teamwork and collaboration
\n - Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
\n

Education and Experience - High school diploma or equivalent required.
\n
- 1-2 years of industry experience, 1-2 years of quality control experience preferred.
\n
Physical Requirements \n - \n Standing and Walking : Inspectors often need to stand or walk for extended periods while inspecting products or overseeing production processes.
\n - \n Lifting : The ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds is commonly required.
\n - \n Dexterity : Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
\n - \n Reaching and Bending : Inspectors may need to squat, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, kneel, twist, and bend at the neck and waist.
\n - Visual Acuity: Normal visual acuity and the ability to distinguish colors are necessary for identifying defects and ensuring product quality

Additional Job Information: \n - Wage Expectations: $26.00 - 33.00 hourly
\n - Pay: This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
\n - Typical Schedule: Four (4) Ten (10) hour days M-F
\n - Location: On Site - 20812 Broadway Ave; Snohomish, WA 98296
\n - Travel: Very minimal to none
\n
