SMAC Moving Coil Actuators manufactures precision programmable electric actuators in the USA. These actuators offer programmable force, position, and speed for both high-speed and low-speed applications with sub-micron accuracy and repeatability. They are ideal for positioning, measuring, inspection, and pick-and-place applications in automation environments.

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote/home-based position for a Regional Sales Technician . The successful candidate will cover Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri . Responsibilities include identifying new sales opportunities, building relationships with customers and existing distributors, and meeting territory sales goals. The role also includes providing product demonstrations, attending trade shows, and collaborating with SMAC’s global sales team.

Travel expectations: Up to 15 days per month, including up to 5 overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Bilingual: Fluency in both English and Spanish (required)
• Education: Graduate of a 2-year technical school program (required)
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with actuators, automation, and robotics
• Field Service Experience: Minimum of 3 years working with automation products; experience with Servo motors is a plus
• Technical Expertise: Understanding of Machine Code programming and PLC systems
• Electronic/Mechanical Aptitude: Knowledge of Circuits and Robotics
• Customer Engagement: Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to drive sales and close deals
• Training Skills: Capable of providing technical training to customers and colleagues
• Event Participation: Willingness to attend trade shows and industry events

Compensation

• Base Salary: $60,000 per year
• Commission: 1% on orders exceeding $50,000
• Additional Benefits: Company-provided vehicle and insurance coverage
