Intern Opportunity

Red Coats, Inc. was founded in 1960 by William F. Peel and current President Barbara K. Peel. Corporate headquarters are in our own mid-rise office building in Bethesda, Maryland, with regional branch offices in Baltimore, Florida, Southern Virginia, NC-Durham/Raleigh, Pennsylvania, and Texas under the leadership of the Executive Vice President, W. Mack Wells. Red Coats, Inc. consistently maintains the leadership of the custodial service industry throughout the markets we service.

We currently have an opening in our Accounting department for an Intern for the Summer 2025 season.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions & Primary Duties

• Gain an understanding and assist in supporting multiple division accounting assignments with Red Coats Inc including: Admiral Security Services and Datawatch Services
• Execute solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards and technology implementation procedures relative to individual client assignments
• Participate in accounting assignments from beginning to end
• Identify and communicate billing issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities with the team to resolve issues discovered during the review process
• Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships
• Pledge to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness and commitment to understanding their goals and needs
• Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, including basic knowledge of accounting procedures and standards
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results-driven team-oriented environment
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong computer and technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook and Excel
