As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain your weapon in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies. You will also provide exceptional customer service, using strong communication skills to assist those in need and to build positive relationships within the community. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and/or emergencies.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to medical emergencies, disturbances, and/or other incidents that may arise in a healthcare setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must possess an armed guard card or license.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
