Job Description

White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking a Security Guard to join our team. As the largest nonprofit owner/operator of senior living communities in California and one of the largest in the country, we are more than just a place to work. Part-Time: Saturday and Sunday 11:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Hourly Rate: $19.00 - $22.66/Hour

Job Duties:

• Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guest and team members;
• Ensures community and grounds are secure by monitoring surveillance equipment;
• Patrols community on a regular basis throughout shift;
• Assists maintenance personnel in the event of an emergency;
• Provides high visibility and presence to assure residents of caution and care;
• Documents any unusual findings, completes incident reports as needed;
• Maintains radio contact with front desk;
• Responds to emergency radio calls;
• Follows procedures for emergencies including aiding and directing emergency vehicles and personnel as needed;
• Ensures any safety hazards are removed or corrected as needed;
• May respond to emergency alarms.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior security guard experience preferred
• Guard Card preferred
