The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time and part-time Security Officers to join our team at Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. 2 Full-Time Positions. 11:00pm-7:00am.
1 Part-Time Position. 11:00pm-1:15am (4 days per week). Part-Time position will also be expected to cover full 11:00pm-7:00am shift when needed (will be provided advanced notice).

Pay $20.00 - $24.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor 
• Conduct cash escorts as required
• Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity
• Maintain crowd control as required
• Defuse guest profanity and handle issues or complaints professionally
• Six months' prior Law Enforcement/Security experience preferred
• Must be able to document and complete incident reports
• Must be able to safely de-escalate tense situations
• Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary

More about you

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to be licensed by State Gaming Commission
• Ability to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations when handling guest issues or complaints
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
• Prior Law Enforcement/Security experience preferred
• Must be able to document and complete incident reports
• Must be able to safely de-escalate tense situations

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate through two way radio
• Bending, stooping, lifting and carrying occasionally
• Vision sufficient to perform duties day or night
• Exposure to an occasionally smoky and loud environment 
• Exposure to an occasionally smoky, loud environment with bright flashing lights
