Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance of ATGE Veterinary and Medical Schools, this role supports the FP&A function for the Medical and Veterinary segment, leading a centralized FP&A team supporting American University of the Caribbean, Ross University School of Medicine, and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. The role involves financial analysis, modeling, projection, capital/investment analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and related activities.

Responsibilities

1. Lead segment-level FP&A activities, supporting annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, month-end close activities, variance analysis, and reporting.
2. Manage financial consolidations, monthly operating reviews, and ad-hoc requests from VP, Finance, and institutional Finance Directors.
3. Develop analyses and lead special projects to support strategic decisions.
4. Create financial models for business projections and decision-making.
5. Partner with institutions to build business cases for new investments.
6. Collaborate across the Medical and Veterinary segments to solve business problems.
7. Lead growth initiatives, process improvements, or income growth projects as needed.
8. Support monthly forecasts and the annual operating plan process.
9. Provide leadership to two direct reports within the segment FP&A team.
10. Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of FP&A experience, including model development and presentation skills. Higher education or healthcare sector experience preferred.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with excellent communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and secondary research; ability to synthesize and articulate information clearly.
• Leadership skills to influence stakeholders at all levels and build effective relationships.

Additional Information

Salary range: $80,336.75 - $145,077.09, adjusted based on experience, location, and other factors. Benefits include health/dental/vision/life insurance, 401(k) with 6% match, Flexible Time Off, 12 paid holidays, and participation in an annual incentive program.
