Diploma or GED preferred, with basic reading and writing skills Experience Requirement: skid steer and construction experience required Special Skills: skid steer experience, welding exp., concrete experience Travel Requirement: Willing to travel: PA, DE, and MD Description Position: Skid Steer Operator Travel: regional, PA, MD and DE Pay: $20.00/hr-$27.00/hr (Based on experience) We are currently looking for a Skid Steer Operator to join our Geotechnical Group at our Baltimore, MD project and other future locations throughout the Mid Atlantic. Work is performed outdoors year round. Employees will be exposed to wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather conditions. This individual must have the ability to communicate and work well with others. Construction experience with caisson, tiebacks, welding, drill rig experience/knowledge, and/or concrete experience a huge plus. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required for this role. This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction. This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor. Wagman is a multi‑faceted construction firm with major operations in heavy civil, general construction and geotechnical construction services. Core competencies include: design‑build, infrastructure, marine construction, modified concrete, grooving and grinding, and geotechnical construction services. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Carry, load, or unload materials Experience with operating a skid steer on site/outdoors/tight spaces required Perform preventative maintenance—clean, lubricate and maintain equipment Inspect equipment daily for defective parts Dig with picks, shovels, air hammers, jack hammers or other construction related equipment as required Lift and place lagging boards onto shoring walls Work with and maintain construction related equipment when needed (grout machines, drilling machines, compressors) Perform laborer duties as needed Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds from ground level to waist level. Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands Must be able to climb, bend and squat. Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather. Position requires acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing. Must have the ability to work on uneven surfaces. Responsible for safety of self and others.
