CNN is hiring a Senior Producer for its new streaming service. In this role, you will shoot, craft edit and create daily or long form VOD content for a direct-to-consumer platform. The Senior Producer is a highly skilled shooter, storyteller, and editor who combines editorial excellence, with creative eye for visual storytelling and technical expertise. The position requires proficiency in field shooting and editing, as well as story generation, live streaming capabilities, and original series execution. Responsibilities include leading creative development and editorial execution of ambitious video projects for streaming, including VOD and livestreaming content; providing editorial and creative oversight of scripts, visuals, pacing, and tone; developing and leading longform projects, serialized formats, or high-priority video initiatives; translating editorial goals and audience insights into compelling video treatments; overseeing multi-part projects and story treatments; creating and monitoring production schedules and budgets; leading cross-functional collaboration; enforcing quality control standards; supervising team members; establishing and optimizing post-production workflows; collaborating with editorial leads, talent partners, and distribution teams; ideating in experimentation of format, tone, and visual treatment; reviewing and approving final edits and scripts. The role requires 8+ years of experience in digital news or sports environment, strong collaboration skills, technical and creative expertise in editing and producing (Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, color correction), understanding of video production workflow, editorial judgment, agility in fast-paced environments, and a bachelor's degree in journalism, technical production, or relevant experience.
