Job Description

Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa is seeking a dynamic individual to join our growing organization as Staff Accountant.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation of financial statements for assigned departments/sites including detailed income statements. Will work with the Financial Controller and Practice Directors on special projects.

Duties Include (but not limited to):  

• Prepare and maintain work papers on balance sheet accounts for assigned PCI department/sites; reconcile balances with general ledger on a monthly basis



• Prepare necessary journal entries and recurring journal entries for assigned PCI departments



• Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned PCI departments/sites



• Serve as backup for Accounts Payable and Payroll



• Maintain fixed asset schedules for certain assigned entities



• Prepare various cost/financial analyses as assigned

Qualifications:

• The leading candidate will have a BA in Accounting or related field; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel.

Requirements : 

• The qualified candidate will be customer focused and will possess the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.



• Must have a high level of comfort and become proficient in utilizing computer systems.



• The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times, maintain patient confidentiality, be customer service focused, possess excellent communication skills, and must work well with team members.
