Job Details Job Title: Statistician Job Code: 29184 Job Location: West Palm Beach, FL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Responsibilities Apply statistical methods to a diverse product line and collaborate with statisticians, engineers, and managers to provide statistics expertise for various engineering, operations, and business applications. Use statistical data analysis, predictive modeling, and simulation tools to assist technical decision-making and anomaly resolution, including Bayesian methods. Provide sampling recommendations, develop experimental designs and conduct analyses to support engineering product development and process improvement activities. Present results to diverse audiences, including customers and industry technical experts, and communicate analysis approaches to non-statistical audiences. Promote statistical thinking by offering leadership and solutions to cross-functional teams; support reliability and risk assessment activities and business decision analysis. Identify and lead Six Sigma efforts across sites; develop and implement statistical quality control methods for operations. Contribute to discipline growth by improving procedures, best practices, and training; develop new applications of statistical tools. Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. security clearance. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience. Preferred Additional Skills Master's degree in Statistics is preferred B.S. in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics is preferred Experience with statistical software packages such as Minitab, SAS, JMP, @Risk, R, Python, and/or others Technical writing skills Familiarity with machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Bayesian methods ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer ASQ Certified Quality Engineer Equal Opportunity L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
