Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Pool Repair & Service Technician to join our growing team. This role requires hands-on experience in pool maintenance and mechanical repair. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Service & Maintenance
Perform regular pool cleanings, openings/closings, and water testing
Add appropriate chemicals to balance water safely
Inspect, clean, and maintain pool filters, pumps, and skimmers
Follow safe handling procedures for pool chemicals and equipment
Maintain a clean and professional appearance of both self and work vehicle
Repair & Technical
Diagnose and repair issues with pool and hot tub systems, including pumps, heaters, filters, and plumbing
Perform low-voltage wiring and troubleshoot automation systems
Conduct sand changes, minor plumbing repairs, and pump/filter replacements
Repair and maintain in-store hot tub inventory as needed
Customer & Team Communication
Interact professionally with customers, explaining repairs and maintenance clearly and respectfully
Document all work accurately using company software
Communicate promptly with office staff and supervisors regarding job updates, needs, or issues
Assist other team members on large projects as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a pool technician or similar mechanical role
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of pool and spa equipment from major manufacturers
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Able to pass background check, drug screening, and MVR
Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and move objects up to 100 lbs
Reliable transportation to and from work
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong work ethic
