OVERVIEW Responsible for the deployments and maintenance of one or more major enterprise systems. In addition, will plan for and respond to major service outages and other system related issues. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
• Initial and escalation resource for System Administration team issues.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of one or more systems and develop capabilities on non-primary systems.
• Provide technical advice to less experienced System Administration personnel.
• Perform in-depth system maintenance, monitoring, and problem determination. Verify the integrity and availability of resources, systems, and key processes. Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
• Configure system upgrades as necessary.
• Perform system backup and recovery operations.
• Develop in-depth technical support documentation.
• Work with senior System Administration personnel to repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted business / IT units.
• Assist Senior System Administration personnel with system administration research as assigned.
• Provide evening and weekend System Administration support as needed. Sheetz is open 24/7/365 and as such, our internal and external customers may require support at any time.
QUALIFICATIONS Education
• Bachelor's degree which includes courses in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, or systems engineering is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Computer Engineering preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 3 years of applicable experience in a technology environment required
