ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• 4th Floor East Wing PCU unit with 55 beds
\n• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio for both day and night shifts
\n• Care for adult patients and occasionally pediatric patients 15 years and older
\n• Common patient diagnoses include CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, subdural hematoma, and weakness
\n• Manage common drips and medications including PCA pumps for pain management, Cardizem, and insulin
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Telemetry competency required
\n• Use EPIC electronic medical record system and Alaris IV pumps
\n• Navy blue scrubs required
\n• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% minimum score
\n• Mechanical lifts available in every other room
\n• Float to medical-surgical areas based on highest need
\n• Focus on hourly rounding and patient responsiveness
\n• Support staff includes nursing assistants, charge nurse, educator, care managers, social workers, dieticians, PT, and OT
\n• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
\n• Must live outside 50-mile radius and provide driver's license at submittal
\n• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities
