Job Description

Our client, a children’s apparel company, is hiring a Designer, Newborn Boys (0-24 months) to join their team onsite in NYC.

Job Duties Include:

• Conduct research to identify key styles and fabrications for upcoming collections.
• Accurately sketch black-and-white silhouettes and collaborate with the Associate Designer and Technical Designer on construction details and fit objectives.
• Work closely with the Art Team to select prints, patterns, and graphics for each collection.
• Develop precise color CADs and line plans for distribution to cross-functional teams.
• Maintain detailed records of trims, materials, and construction specifications in the PLM system.
• Analyze competitor and aspirational brands to identify emerging trends and business opportunities.
• Prepare presentation materials, including slides and boards, for line reviews with management and buying teams.

Job Qualifications Include:

• 5+ years of experience in apparel design, with childrenswear experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of the development and production process.
• Knowledge of color theory, merchandising, and printing techniques is a plus.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and PLM systems.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Salary: $90k - $95K annually
