Reach Truck Operator Night Shift

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Reach Truck Operator to join our team for the Night Shift on a 2/2/3 schedule (6:00 PM 6:30 AM) in a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of uninterrupted experience and will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The operator is accountable for the safe and effective use of the vehicle and may also be required to perform order picker duties. Key Responsibilities

• Operate reach trucks to safely load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Accurately pick and stage orders to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by identifying, labeling, and properly storing materials and supplies.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of reach trucks to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols specific to food manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and logistics to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Support general warehouse operations and assist team members as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts to enhance efficiency and product flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of uninterrupted experience operating reach trucks.
• Ability to pass onsite reach truck operator certification.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and warehouse best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work independently on the night shift.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects safely.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions

Typical Environmental Conditions

• May be exposed to moderate noise levels (i.e. office equipment, light traffic).
• May be exposed to moderate to high noise levels (i.e. production equipment, forklifts, heavy traffic).
• May be exposed to humidity, intense heat and cold, outdoor weather conditions, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
• May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
