Product Owner

New York, New York (Hybrid/Remote Available)

Contract-to-hire

$60-65/Hr

We are seeking an individual to work with a Fortune 50 Broadcast Media & Entertainment leader

located in New York, New York. As the Product Owner, you will be responsible for several products in the Content Sales and Finance vertical of the organization and in constant communication with clients on anything product related, including development, progress, deliverables, and timelines. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a consultant on new multi-product initiatives or programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in managing the end-to-end life cycle of a product.
• Bachelor’s degree in software development, Product Management, or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills.
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities.
• Expertise in the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, iteration planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress.
• Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative.
• Ability to manage through competing/conflicting requests and obtain consensus.

Responsibilities:

• Create and manage a product backlog for TV Streaming and Ad Sales ecosystem of products, develop, maintain and communicate product roadmap to at all levels of leadership, conduct user training, perform system demos, and create SOPs related to process changes.
• Engage across functions with multiple stakeholders, translate requirements into well documented product features.
• Lead grooming sessions to maintain a consistently up-to-date backlog of clearly defined
• features/stories.
• Fully document product features and capabilities in JIRA, ensuring all stories have acceptance criteria that is clear and can be measured.
• Collaborate across teams and with architecture and solutions leaders, to identify the best technical solution for a feature or capability that meets the needs of the clients.
• Manage the deployment and communication around product releases.
